Residential

Construction is the process of constructing a building or infrastructure. Construction differs from manufacturing in that manufacturing typically involves mass production of similar items without a designated purchaser, while construction typically takes place on location for a known client.

Residential projects involve the construction of houses, apartment buildings, and even larger multistory high rise buildings. Depending upon what the actual project entails, some residential projects can take on some commercial project characteristics.
Builders can do their projects more personally. This is because a dwelling or home becomes a dwelling for another person or family member for the rest of their lives. Homebuilders are usually accustomed to undertaking small individual building projects, with up to hundreds of structures being built within a community or condominium complex.

Of course, the look and feel of a commercial building involves a variety of factors, both internal and external, but in general, commercial buildings are primarily made of concrete and steel, while homes are primarily wooden. The Foundation consists of a frame and is placed on concrete.
